Job Summary: We are seeking a Flatbed Semi Owner Operator to join our team and transport pallets of items using our flatbed trailers with truck mounted forklifts. As the Owner Operator, you will be responsible for operating your own semi-truck and hauling our flatbed trailers within the Northeast region. The ideal candidate will be experienced in flatbed hauling, comfortable operating truck mounted forklifts, and able to work independently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate a semi-truck to haul our flatbed trailers with truck mounted forklifts within the Northeast region.
• Transport pallets of items to residential areas, averaging 8-10 stops per day in New Jersey and up to 15 stops per day during peak season.
• Receive pallets of items at designated pick-up locations, ensure they are safely and securely loaded onto the trailer, and deliver them to the designated drop-off locations.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel, and any issues encountered during transport.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on the semi-truck and flatbed trailer to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Communicate with dispatch and other team members to provide updates on delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport.

Qualifications:

• Must be an Owner Operator with a semi-truck and experience in flatbed hauling.
• Must be comfortable operating truck mounted forklifts or willing to undergo training provided by the company.
• Must have a valid CDL and comply with all DOT regulations.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.
• Must be willing to rent our flatbed trailers daily and pay for maintenance fees.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Rates are $725/day plus $75 for any stop over 8 during peak season in Connecticut.
• Rates are $80/stop in New Jersey with an average of 8-10 stops per day and up to 15 stops per day during peak season.
• Miles are 150-200 per day.
• As the Owner Operator, you will be responsible for your own fuel expenses.
• The company will provide training on truck mounted forklift operation and will rent out flatbed trailers with maintenance fees.
