Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler

Established Internal Medicine practice has an immediate need for an organized, reliable Medical Office Receptionist/ Scheduler. The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling multiple administrative duties in both the front and back of the office, including but not limited to creating and scheduling new patient and follow-up appointments, patient communication and accurate data entry, insurance verification, processing payments for visits, assisting with obtaining medical records, and authorizations. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a very fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people. Experience in the medical field required. Bi-lingual preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by team members in this role. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties.

· Answer multi-line phone system, schedule patient appointments/procedures, and direct phone calls to the appropriate team member.

· Greet patients when they arrive at the office and provide them with any necessary paperwork or other information.

· Collect co-pays and other fees required prior to the office visit or treatment.

· Complete prescription refills and prior authorizations

· Assist patients with scheduling, confirming, and re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues

· Communicate test results to patients when directed by physician or clinic professionals

· Scan and index documents into EMR system

Education and General Qualifications:

· Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). (Athena Practice/Centricity)

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a close team environment.

· Able to multi-task, be reliable and able to work in a team oriented workplace. Ability to prioritize and work independently is required

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

Minimum

· High school graduate. Some college or related experience preferred.

· Reliable and punctual with strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Working knowledge of computer applications and software: MS Office Suite, Athena, and other systems as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
