We are now hiring for an Initial Inspector within our Production Department at Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (USA), Inc. located in Mayodan, NC. The shift is 2nd M-F 3:30pm-Midnight. The Initial Inspector position is responsible for inspection of all worn casings ensuring that only casings suitable go to the production process and that reject casings go to the reject process. The Initial Inspector has the responsibility to ensure that any other casings not suitable for production nor for rejection are treated according to the SOP.

Position Requirements:

• High School education or General Education Degree (GED)

• Experience working in production and a fast paced environment

• Ability to do physical work moving tires to machine and to staging areas

Position Duties:

*Comply with: Bridgestone's Process Specification 3151, FAA Approved Repair Station No. B00G006O & 3.2 Initial Inspection

*Comply with safety, quality, productivity and company regulations

*Understand and follow closely verbal and written instructions

*Perform the job following the SOP with minimal supervision

*Work on various shifts as needed; cross train in supporting positions

*Verify good quality of product/work received from previous departments and ensure the good quality of the product/work released to the next department

*Physically handle and move all types of tires from point A to point B as needed following all safe handling procedures for tires

*Comply with the housekeeping and 3S daily requirements

*An ability to perform on the job training to any new teammate

• Ability to do physical and manual work

• Ability to handle and move proper equipment loaded with tires of varying weights of 45-300 lbs, frequently lifting up to 50 lbs using appropriate safe lifting techniques

• Ability to safely handle tires and equipment using proper PPE

• Ability to closely follow instructions and specifications

While performing the duties of this position the teammate is:

• Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms

• Occasionally required to talk or hear

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

• Specific vision abilities required for this job are close vision, continuous specification reading, measurement taking and data entry

• The noise level in the work environment is loud; the work environment temperature varies with the seasons
