We are looking for a Live-In Night Technician to exchange very light night-time duties for accommodations in a studio apartment on premises, located above the hospital, suitable for two persons, with bedroom, large eat-in kitchen, full bath, WiFi, utilities, and washer/dryer. Duties include monitoring occasional overnight intravenous lines (we use a baby monitor which will transfer the sound of a kinked line alarm from the fluid pump to the apartment), do a 10:00 Kennel/hospital walk-through, and do Sunday morning hospital treatments (we are closed on Sundays). Additional part-time or full time day work for $18-$28 /hr plus benefits is a possibility. Individual must be a non-smoker and pass a background check.

Individual must be able to write and speak English well, and experienced in giving i.v., and i.m. injections and oral medications to dogs and cats, as well as placing a catheter. He or she should also be able to recognize and report to the on-call doctor unusual behavior due to canine and feline discomfort due to acute illness such as respiratory illness/distress, or bloat. The Job requires an Associates degree or the equivalent.

Schulhof Animal Hospital is a 4-doctor, full service, companion animal hospital practicing integrative medicine located in the lovely shoreline suburban town of Westport, CT with plenty of on-site parking. We also have a whole-hospital 55 kw natural gas generator, so we have power irrespective of the weather.

COVID-19 considerations:
While the night tech will not interface with clients, all our staff and those clients admitted to the building must wear masks. Hand-sanitizer stations, and room air-purifiers are also in use. All our doctors and most of the staff are vaccinated.
