Manager, Quality Metrics Analytics - Remote

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) is now hiring an experienced quality metrics analyst to work remote within the state of Arizona leading a team of data analysts responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and meaningful performance metrics to various audiences. Our ideal candidate has at least four years of experience working with the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and is excited to build a first-in-class quality analytics program using creative, innovative strategies and best practices.

This remote work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed within the State of Arizona.

Pay: $96,777 - $130,149 per year

To thrive in this job, you must be able to:

• Lead the development of processes for effective data analysis and reporting.
• Manage the creation and maintenance of meaningful analytics, visualization, reports, and presentations.
• Oversee ad-hoc reports and analytic support, using project management tools to gather user requirements and confirm user acceptance.
• Maintain a Stars predictive model and report Stars data to CMS.
• Implement ongoing processes to QA performance data and vendor reports/data; address gaps or inaccuracies with vendor; maintain associated written procedures; maintain a QA procedure to ensure information reported is highly accurate.
• Provide insight, advise quality improvement teams, and respond to regulators’ requests on quality metrics through presentations and detailed narratives.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Provide training, orientation, performance appraisals, hiring and disciplinary action of the analytical staff.
• Build infrastructure and lean processes to ensure sustainability and advance the department.
• Monitor changes in regulatory contractual requirements related to performance measures, initiate change requests with data vendor, identify organizational impacts, and implement necessary organizational and reporting changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Health informatics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Math, Data Science, Business Intelligence or other related field
• Familiarity with AHCCCS Medicaid, NCQA HEDIS, and CMS Medicare Stars Ratings
• Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
