The Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center Inc. is a non-profit organization owned and operated by the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians. We provide high-quality, comprehensive, primary health care, dental and Behavioral Health services for Tribal members and nearby residents. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our department to provide high quality, caring support to our patients in our Sonora/Tuolumne clinic.
Medical Assistant Job Duties:
- Record vitals
- Prepares exam room for encounter with medical provider
- Chart patient problems using electronic health records system
- Administers injections
- Obtains materials for patient care services
- Restock supplies
- Accompany male providers with female patient care services
- Inventory of medical supplies and equipment
Medical Assistant, Behavioral Health Qualifications:
- Coursework from an accredited school highly preferred
- Two (2) years' experience working as a Medical Assistant required
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Maintains high level of patient confidentiality
- Possesses knowledge of, and adheres to HIPAA requirements
- Experience with pediatrics highly preferred
