Nationwide Medical, Inc. is a durable medical equipment company located in Calabasas, CA. We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Medical Records Representative with an outgoing personality who wants to join our team.

As a Medical Records Representative…

You will be the voice of Nationwide Medical, Inc. communicating with doctors and other medical professionals. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, solutions-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate outbound calls to patients to coordinate required physician appointments for needed medical records to meet appropriate compliance standards for equipment and supplies
• Respond to and facilitate inbound patient calls and handle appropriately, either satisfying patient requests/needs, or coordinate call with appropriate department to ensure patient satisfaction
• Follow up with physician offices to obtain records for complete patient files
• Review acquired documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain compliance standards for all documents received in accordance with company compliance and HIPAA regulations
• Maintain individual and departmental goals to achieve successful metrics
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• A patient comes-first attitude
• Ability to handle large volume of incoming documents and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail and follow up
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel and Outlook); ability to manage multiple databases simultaneously
• High School graduate or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
