Classification Level A
- Encompasses all duties, responsibilities and skills of B & C levels
- Able to independently train & mentor others within this position on all classifications listed below
- Demonstrates ability to perform all job functions with no supervision
- Strong ability to identify problems & bottlenecks and pro-actively implement solutions
- Capable of properly calibrating each mixer without assistance (core room, small line & large line)
- Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality
Classification Level B
- Encompasses all duties, responsibilities and skills of C level
- Assist in training & mentoring of others within this position on C level classification items
- Ability to perform all job functions with minimal direct supervision
- The ability to operate and perform required daily general maintenance (cleaning) of mixers
- Understands how each mixer functions as it pertains to the sand/binder system
- Demonstrates proficiency in both production and quality
- Knowledgeable and proficient in all operations on both the small and large line
- Ability to properly stage & setup each mold line for following shift
- Ability to inspect tooling prior to and at the conclusion of production for issues that may result in additional casting scrap or rework
Classification Level C
- Capable of reading & understanding the molding production schedule
- Possesses the knowledge of the various mold and core making equipment
- Comprehends the processes and procedures of mold and core making
- Capable of identifying pattern and core equipment
- Capable of accurately tracking & reporting production on a shift by shift basis
- Capable of identifying proper chills & risers to be placed into tooling per process instruction sheet
- Capable of performing basic mold and core making tasks to include filling, stripping, closing
- The ability to set up the pattern equipment as designated by the process instructions sheets
Entry Level Qualifications& Requirements
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, multiplication)
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)
- Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
- Able to follow verbal & written instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
- Must perform other duties as assigned
