Position Title: Night Auditor

Reports To: Hotel General Manager

Primary Job Function: The Night Auditor is responsible for a professional, personal and efficient check-in and check-out process for each and every guest of the hotel. Night Auditor will also process payments and reconciliations according to established procedures as well as provide information to any guest or visitor inquiries in person or via telephone.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Complete the night audit for the business day

· Set-up breakfast for the next morning and ensure coffee stations are refreshed

· Ensure that the front desk, lobby and breakfast area are tidy

· Greet each and every guest as they enter the hotel and provide personal service at all times

· Approach all encounters with guests as well as employees in a professional and personalized manner throughout all areas of the hotel

· Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel

· Maintain a professional image and positive attitude at all times

· Make guest reservations and operate PBX calls

· Perform accounting duties such as resolve charge disputes, process corrections and/or adjustments to accounts, post charges to accounts, count drawer and prepare cash deposits

· Report pertinent information to the next shift per hotel policy

· Ensure that the safety & confidentiality of all matters pertaining to guests are met in accordance with hotel standards

· Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures if an incident should occur

· Identify and solicit potential new loyalty rewards members

· Build rapport with VIP’s, loyalty members, and distinguished visitors

· Respond to all guest inquires, complaints and requests in a timely and efficient manner to ensure guest satisfaction

· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

Management Contributions for Success:

· Providing training for Night Audit duties and responsibilities

· Provide feedback throughout training process

· Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Basic reading, writing and math skills

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

· Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull

· Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel

· Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility

· Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling

· Able to work alone as well as being a team member

· Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour
