NPF C Operator

Position Summary: The NPF Operator C will be responsible for the bagging in and out. This person will also be responsible for verifying equipment readiness, operate equipment, support all other operators and conduct other field assignments. This is an entry-level position.

Position Description

Responsibilities


  • Maintain a safe work environment.

  • Operate bagging equipment

  • Take samples of finished product and raw materials from bags for testing and lab analysis.

  • Bagging in raw material into GAC Silo as directed

  • Routinely check/monitor warehouse instruments and equipment to ensure correct operation

  • Attend to abnormal operating conditions; report problems to shift lead

  • Make appropriate adjustments to bagging equipment to optimize operation

  • Maintain records for product handling, storage and customer delivery

  • Safely load activated carbon into Bulk trailers, Railcars, and Super Sacks per customer requirements

  • Complete all required company training as assigned

  • Assist other team members as needed

  • Follow all environmental procedures for secondary containment, spills, etc.

  • Maintain a safe work environment, follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures

  • Maintain housekeeping in all areas of the facility


Skills & Qualifications


  • Ability to troubleshoot process equipment

  • Ability to obtain certification for industrial mobile equipment operation (e.g. forklifts, skid steer, boom lift)

  • Ability to follow labeling procedures

  • Ability to enter and tend confined spaces

  • Ability to survey, assess, and authorize work permits such as hot work, line break, confined space, etc.

  • Ability to understand and execute proper Lock Out Tag Out Procedures

  • Ability to understand and demonstrate industrial safety practices

  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools

  • Basic knowledge of how instruments work (e.g. Temperature, and pressure) and their use in process control

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret written material and instructions

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Maximo, Excel, Outlook, MS Word and other programs and software

  • Ability to work weekdays/nights and weekends

  • Ability to adhere to a work schedule

  • Must have a valid drivers license


Experience


  • High School diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred

  • Relevant experience in industrial plant environment preferred
