The vision of Clinical Health Network for Transformation (CHN) is to better fulfill the mission and promise of Planned Parenthood to bring high-quality, affordable care to every member of our communities. The Patient Access Director is responsible for leading all aspects of the Clinical Health Network for Transformation (CHN) Patient Access Center, from its daily operations to its long-term strategic success. Oversees all Patient Access Center and Financial Verification staff, managers, and supervisors. Serves as a subject matter expert for Patient Access services and Center operations. The Patient Access Director will maintain administrative responsibility for centralized scheduling, financial verification, and price estimations, among other centralized functions or capabilities. Accountable for service delivery and quality performance within a rapidly growing centralized enterprise and ensuring each service’s ability to meet established key performance indicators to support access and an optimal consumer experience. The position directs contact center management activities, sets performance expectations, and goals, evaluates processes and outcomes, and implements improvements to support quality and efficiency.

Essential Functions

    • Execute strategic plan for Patient Access Center operations to ensure that the needs of the organization and patients are addressed.
    • Work with Patient Access Center managers and supervisors, ensuring that all processes and procedures are implemented and followed.
    • Partner with affiliates to ensure they are receiving the level of service necessary for patient access.
    • Ensure that all areas are compliant with state and federal requirements.
    • Ensure that standard workflows are followed in all Patient Access Center operations.
    • Promote interdepartmental communication and collaboration to improve business administration.
    • Engage IT partners to ensure contact services employ the optimal software, hardware and telephony technology, data analytics, and reporting capabilities.
    • Stay current on all contact center technology through program attendance, networking with peers in professional organizations, and other avenues for contact center operations.
    • Continuously assess the effectiveness of current technology and departmental needs.
    • Develop effective and efficient cost saving strategies.

Qualifications and Experience (Required)

    • Bachelor’s degree, in Health Care Administration or a related field and 8-10 years of leadership experience in a Centralized Contact Center or equivalent experience.
    • 5 years' experience in health care centralized scheduling office setting, with a successful track record of managing personnel and analyzing and reporting key performance indicators to management and/or leadership.
    • Demonstrated experience in contact center analytics reporting and communicating and presenting to Senior and/or Executive Leadership.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in contact center software and reporting.
    • Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Excel, etc.).
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer-centric service approach.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate and interact with all levels within and outside of CHN, if necessary.
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-up; and ability to seamlessly shift from one task to another.
    • Demonstrated dedication to Planned Parenthood’s mission, vision, and values.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
    • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize.
    • Ability to travel in accordance with the needs of the position, as outlined in the essential functions. Compliance with all CHN travel policies, including safety guidelines while operating a personal vehicle.

Qualifications and Experience (Preferred)

    • Master’s degree strongly preferred in Health Care Administration, Data Science and Analytics, or in a related field.
    • Strongly preferred to have at least one current certification from NAHAM (CHAM), RCCSP (CCCD) or equivalent.
