Job Description

• Locate and notify insurance payers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or online tools. Make efforts to collect monies owed to facilities by governmental or commerical payers. Corrections and resubmission of claims as needed. Follow-up with payers and patients as needed.

Education Requirements:

• High School or GED
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in physician office or hospital business office

Required Skills:

• General Microsoft experience (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in physician office or hospital business office
• Understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC's terminology
• Knowledge of insurance payers and insurance terminology for billing
• Ability to use computer based system and automated accounting system
• Knowledge of major medical insurances
• Ability to dispute unpaid claims in a timely manner
• Knowledge of In and Out of network processing
• Ability to manage own time
