The Project Planning Manager receives the entitlement and permit approvals for developing new Maverik stores and revitalizing existing stores and other assigned projects.

What You’ll do as a Planning Project Manager:

• Develop and maintain open communication with Maverik Real Estate and Construction Managers, as well as other company departments
• Help prepare site plans expansions, including contacting various agencies for current land development requirements
• Coordinate and direct the land use development activities with surveyors, civil engineers and architects
• Secure approval for design review, minor rezoning extensions, use permitting, and parcel consolidation
• Prepare and deliver a presentation for design review & amendments to use permit applications
• Establish and build relationships with various jurisdictions
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

You’ll be a Great Fit if You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on community planning, transportation planning, landscape architecture, public administration or real estate preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A history of leveraging others appropriately & overcoming unexpected obstacles while utilizing appropriate metrics to measure progress
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization effectively
• Familiarity with strong critical thinking, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
• A record of anticipating future consequences and trends accurately and creating new & innovative approaches to activities enhancing performance
• A pattern of identifying the root cause for issues and using effective problem-solving methods to arrive at the best resolution option
