Police Service Assistant Job at City of Branson
POSITION SUMMARY:Under basic supervision, provides support to Branson Police Department sworn personnel by; conducting parking enforcement, responding to calls for service, conducting routine field investigations, collecting and maintaining evidence and details of crimes, preparing reports, and assist with other Police Support and community service programs. This position is normally supervised by a Police Lieutenant.

WORK HOURS: Day Time hours. Shifts May vary.. Occasional After Hours Needed

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
High School graduate or GED equivalent is required.
One (1) year of experience in working with the public is required.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
National Career Readiness Certificate is preferred.
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with Police leadership in achieving those goals.
Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service to those of internal or external to the department.
Must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position
Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work.
Must be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings.
Must possess no felony convictions, and have no serious misdemeanor convictions within the past 5 years.
No offensive tattoos or brands; i.e. depicting or supporting criminal behavior, drug usage, nudity, profanity, promiscuity, subversive groups, bigotry, etc. No tattoos or brands may be visible above the collarbone or below the wrist.
Must fulfill I-9 identification requirements within the guidelines set forth by the Department of Homeland Security through the E-Verify system.
