Northpoint Washington has an opening for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor_ in our *_Edmonds, Washington*_ inpatient facility._

POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the LMHC is responsible for providing mental health counseling and case management services to patients at Northpoint Washington.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Case staffing
• Individual case supervision
• Professional and timely documentation
• Assessments and diagnosing
• Consultation with other clinical professionals
• Review of case record maintenance
• Treatment planning
• Providing mental health services via individual, group and family therapy
• Discharge planning
• Understanding and adherence to policy and procedure of the Evergreen at Northpoint, Washington Administrative Code

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
• Other clinically appropriate services as determined by the facility

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

• Recognized mental health professional possessing Master Level LMHC, LICSW, MHP or MSW preferred
• Possess SUDP licensure or willingness to register as a SUDP-T within 30 days of employment. Those working as a SUDP-T will work under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor
• Must have a license that is in good standing with the state of Washington, in accordance with WAC 246-337
• Must hold a license as defined in WAC 246-337
• Be licensed without restrictions and have been in good standing for the previous two years
• Engage in monthly clinical supervision as required WAC regulations
• Counselor with proven experience in the mental health and substance use disorder field preferred
• Strong understanding of mandatory reporting responsibilities, per state guidelines
• Strong understanding of, and adherence to, the ethical standards of the respective license adopted by the governing board for licensure
• Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:

• Must hold an active LMHC(A), LICSW, LMFT, or SUDP
• Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification

• Exposure to disturbed and potentially aggressive patients is possible. Stress ranges from low to intense depending on the situation
• Must have the reasonable ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear, taste and smell. Must be reasonably capable of lifting twenty pounds.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and random for upon reasonable suspicion of use
• Completion of orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work
• Demonstrated computer literacy
• Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 90 days of employment
• Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
• Completion of background and reference checks
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
