Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Description
Provide quality support related to issues arising from galvanizing processes. Assist with production staff on testing, problem solving. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects and corrective action process.
Essential Functions
Promote a positive culture where Quality is driving our success.
Lead and assist Quality Inspectors in the inspection process, identification of quality issues and usage of appropriate measurement devices.
Support and assist our management team with the following: quality inspection procedure, test procedure, capability testing studies, etc…
Manages all inspection functions relating to in-process and final inspections.
Analyzes returned product, works with appropriate functions to determine root cause and corrective action.
Coordinate rework processes and material sorts with machine operators.
Perform and coordinate all calibrations for gauges and test equipment.
Develop and implement quality procedures, test procedures and technical reports.
This position is responsible to comply with all aspects of the safety program.
Education and Experience
Minimum one year serving in a Quality Assurance role.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Minitab
Working knowledge of ISO 9001-2015.
Excellent communication and leadership skills required.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 1 PM - 9:30 PM, OT regularly available.
