Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Minimum 10 years proven experience in various quality and project management functions within the manufacturing field.

· Minimum 5 years experience as QA manager.

· Minimum 3 years experience in plastics industry and strong knowledge of related regulations.

· Experience in managing a quality system across multiple plants.

· Demonstrable experience implementing ISO 9001.

· Understanding of LEAN concepts and management.

· Strong knowledge of safety, health and environmental requirements and legal standards.

· Excellent leadership, communication, collaborative and analytical skills.

· Ability to learn quickly.

· Confident.

· Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

· PC proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

· Company representative for all matters of safety, health, environmental and quality.

· Responsible for the design, implementation, revision and enforcement of corporate quality standards and methods.

· Prepare and lead management review meetings.

· Implement and manage company document system.

· Ensure quality methods and processes are in place and effective.

· Ensure safety, health and environmental initiatives and standards are adhered to.

· Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and preventive measures.

· Design and implement use of statistical data to predict trends and improve overall product quality and system effectiveness.

· Design and implement use of root-cause analysis to properly identify needed process improvements and corrective actions.

· Update in-process inspection methods and standards through review of existing practices and review of generally accepted industry standards.

· Develop and implement disposition and rework standards.

· Lead the reduction of Cost of Quality and internal scrap and waste.

· Provide guidance and train the quality support staff. Coordinate their daily tasks.

· Provide technical guidance and collaborate with all departments.

· Review and evaluate potential new business for feasibility.

· Plan and supervise internal and external Quality System audits.

· Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives.

· Travel as required, approximately 10%-15%.

Other Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher with specialized focus on quality, engineering and/or management.

· Appropriate qualification in quality management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,415.85 - $70,000.00 per year
