Summary

The Manager - Facilities (Portfolio) (Regional) directs and manages Lidl US buildings including stores, distribution centers, and associated building processes. The role is responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, along with administrative management oversight including ordering, contract warranties, and annual budgets. The role also encompasses managing and creating relationships with contractors along with the daily building operations staff.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage costs and expenses within the region
  • Manage warranties, preventative and reactive maintenance for stores and RDC
  • Order and manage assets and equipment for stores and RDC
  • Oversee contractors and vendors with whom buying, and service agreements are in place
  • Prepare and manage budgets within the region
  • Oversee the filing and administration of contracts and maintenance records
  • Supervise, manage, and direct a team of one or more employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

Required

  • Knowledge of assets management, merchandising execution, property, and facilities management, planning and basic accounting
  • Strong leadership profile
  • Quality written, communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Effective prioritizing and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2+ years of experience in related field
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience
  • Management and operations experience


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly
  • Ability to work in situations that involve prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending and twisting all of the time
  • Ability to work in various conditions in temperatures around or below freezing, such as outdoor weather conditions or freezers
  • Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) in excess of 50 lbs. and reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches frequently in accordance with safety regulations
  • Ability to handle all Lidl products, to include but not limited to, meat, poultry, alcohol products, and food products with known allergens, such as nuts
  • Ability to operate machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of
hands/fingers/wrists
  • Ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors
  • Ability to handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time


Travel Requirements:

  • This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers more than 75% of the time within a day
  • This position requires overnight domestic travel up to 50% of the time
  • This position requires overnight international travel less than 25% of the time
  • Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
