Remote Support Analyst Job at TEKsystems
Job Description:
One of our largest clients is looking to bring on 8 remote support technicians to complete an Exchange Online migration and two technicians for a SharePoint migration. These technicians will need to have prior experience working in a help desk or remote support role supporting Exchange, Office 365, Outlook troubleshooting, and Active Directory. There is a lead and a PM that they will be getting direction from. Customer Service and professionalism is the most important piece of this role. This is one of their largest and most critical accounts.
We are looking for technicians that are self-starters, self-motivated, and a team player. They need to have great communication skills and be able to communicate technical terms to non-technical issues. With this being remote and not in person, communication with the team is important. They need to be able to take on additional tasks when there is downtime and collaborate with team members.
Here is the high level process for migration activities:
1.) Receive a batch file from the engineers
2.) Follow documented steps on kicking off migration for those users
3.) Keep watch to ensure data moves
4.) If an error occurs, follow the steps provided by the engineers
5.) If those steps don’t work, escalate to the engineers.

They will need to have hardware at home to run a virtual desktop on for this role.
Shifts:
i. 7AM-3PM CST
ii. 3PM-11PM CST
iii. 11PM-7AM CST
Resourcing: One concern that was raised was around co-employment
i. They do not want anyone with a 2nd job, as it may lead to conflicts
c. Longevity is a huge deal here. We have to be clear this is for the long haul – we cannot have any attrition
i. MRS tool for Google to Exchange
ii. Transcend for Lotus to Exchange
