Our Sales group continues to grow! At Meriplex, our Business Development Representatives provide a supreme opportunity to introduce Meriplex IT solutions to potential new customer acquisitions and foster solid connections amongst technology experts across multiple industries (healthcare, finance, retail, government, etc.). In this high visibility role, you will be able to use your competitive edge, and in-depth knowledge of IT solutions, to leverage the Meriplex new logo acquisition process while working alongside technology partners (OEM) to generate pipeline. The candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers by selling single, multiple, or all the Services Meriplex offers, including Intelligent Networks (WAN), Managed Security Services, Managed Services, Unified Communications as a Service, Hardware, Professional Services, Cloud and Disaster Recovery Services.
This role is typically based anywhere Meriplex currently holds a physical office. Typically, this would focus on Houston, Dallas, Anaheim/Irvine, Sacramento, and Denver. However, for the right talent a hybrid/remote arrangement is possible! This role will report to the VP, Sales for that geographical region. Sales Operational Support and Solutions Engineering teams are based out of Houston and Dallas as well as local markets where appropriate.

  • Possess a results-driven mindset to proactively develop business opportunities independently. Maintain an accurate and timely pipeline for reporting including management of customer/client data.   • Appreciate a structure that has been proven to be successful. Learn and practice the Meriplex sales process for new logo acquisition. This will help build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities 3x your quota.
  • Confidently demonstrate your leadership skills. Manage time efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the team.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works well with limited direction. We are all moving towards our company goals, Meriplex is not a place for you to live in the box. We encourage all employees throughout the organize to maximize best practices to achieve new logos. Don’t run to the finish line, run through the finish line.
  • Set your team up for success with proper hand-off of new logo customers to an Account Executive. We build into the commission a portion of the cross/up sell actions that an Account Executive makes. We all win together when the customer is provided a total solution.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, visual, and written communication skills to maintain/manage a marketing plan utilizing email, webinars, events, etc. for your targeted prospects as well as assist with company-wide marketing programs.   • Some experience with sales and business development, preferably in relation to technology manufacturers or solution providers.
  • Extensive knowledge of various sales and business solutions involving: Intelligent Networks (WAN), Managed Security Services, Managed Services, Unified Communications as a Service, Hardware, Professional Services, Cloud and Disaster Recovery Services.
  • Experience with companies pursuing and undergoing rapid growth.
  • 2-3 years of B2B sales experience required.
  • Intermediate or advanced CRM skills preferred.

Work Schedule/Travel - Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the ability to have a flexible schedule due to work volume and proposal deadlines are a must. Ability to travel up to 25% may be required based on customer requirements.

Should you have the formal degree, preference is for Sales, Marketing, or related field.
