Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence, division is seeking a Sales Engineer in the Seattle WA region.
Description:
The Sales Engineer role is a function within Hexagon’s Metrology Software organization responsible for the day-to-day management of the defined territory and the overall success of our Metrology Software group in the Northwest and greater West region. The Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue goals in addition to ongoing account management and maintaining overall customer satisfaction. The role involves working closely with Applications Engineering, Software Development, Support, Service and Order Entry, to ensure that we offer a best-in-class customer experience. The Sales Engineer maintains a high standard and provides leadership in the areas of product knowledge, demonstration capabilities, sales professionalism, and customer satisfaction. The Sales Engineer will work out of a home office and will ideally be located near key accounts in the Seattle area and a large regional airport.

Description:

Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed annual revenue targets for assigned territory
- Generate sales revenues by performing software demonstrations to existing and prospective customers
- Primarily sell direct but also work with OEM and Reseller Channels to maximize sales and assist in software demonstrations
- Evaluate customer needs and develop corresponding solutions across multiple aspects of the customer’s requirements
- Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels
- Work collaboratively with all available resources including Applications Engineers, Marketing, Inside Sales, Training and others to identify, advance, and close sales
- Provide customer feedback to Development for new product innovations, features and functionality
- Act as point of contact and provide support to customers before and after the sale
- Ensure the success of the end user customer
- Minimum 3 years of proven field sales success
- Passion for a long-term career in technical sales
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to travel extensively within the territory
- Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar
- 3D CAD experience
- Completion of formal sales training program(s) or course(s)
- Software and/or technical solution sales
- Affinity toward technology and ability to quickly understand and embrace advanced technologies
