Sales & Project Coordinator
Position: Full-Time
This role is responsible for the sales and management of construction projects to include custom bleacher systems, gymnasium equipment, moveable walls, and wood/metal lockers. Sales & Project Coordinators function as a sales specialist for future SP&E projects through exposure to architects, K-12 institutions, higher education facilities, and arenas. Employee coordinates completion of ongoing jobs through set deadlines, budgets, creative thinking, and crew schedule management. This position should be highly motivated and possess close attention to detail in an ever-changing construction environment. An employee in this position should seek to add value to job accomplishments and explore new opportunities within their field.
Sales & Project Coordinators are responsible for:
· Establishing and maintaining customer sales relationships
· Excellent time management skills for self-made multi-state sales trips
· Recording all sales leads and transitioning into active jobs
· Meet minimum sales goals set my Project Manager
· Familiarization of specialized products and staying updated with changes
· Transfer of all submittals and finalization of selections
· Attend and provide weekly updates at weekly Sales Meetings
· Coordination of venders/3rd parties for execution of projects
· Taking accurate measurements project areas and conveying to vendors
· Ensure timely delivery of all product shipments
· Perform field and submittal verifications of active projects
· Multi-state travel for field checks and site visits
· Create and maintain relationships with customers
· Safe and efficient coordination of install crews through project completion
· Attend conferences and trainings as required to maintain product proficiency
· Perform risk management to minimize job site risks
· Track project performance, to analyze the successful completion of short/long term goals
· Completion of projects within budget and allotted timeframe
· Efficient and accurate issuing of invoices/ G702-703
· Complete closeout and warranty procedures
· Lead Owners Training for customer on effective use of new products
· Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years’ experience in construction sales & project coordination
· Excellent client-facing and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional time management skills
· Strong self-management, detail oriented, and team focused
· Organizational and multitasking skills
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Ability to adapt and problem solve efficiently
· Experience running construction equipment (forklift, telehandler, truck/trailer)
· (Preferred) Experience using a Management System
· (Preferred) Estimating experience
· (Preferred) Sales experience in specialized construction
Office & Travel
Office: located in Bismarck ND and will function as centerpiece for all travel.
Travel: Employee should expect to travel an average of 50% of the work week, usually does not exceed 2-3 overnight stays. Multi-state travel is expected monthly. Employee returns to office at the end of every week. Able to schedule work week hours either 5 (8hr) days, or 4 (10hr) days. Overtime encouraged if necessary. All meals and expenses paid while working out of town.
Wage & Benefits
Benefits: SP&E Inc offers a full benefits package including health insurance, vision, dental, 401K, and paid vacation time and PTO! Available to employee after 3mo review period.
Starting wage: $22-$25/hr paid weekly. Minimum of 40hrs required.
Commission: Available after 1 year of employment.
Physical Requirements
Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer or traveling. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in office environment with occasions standing, bending, walking, and lifting to 50lbs. Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites, with exposure to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. This includes climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing stairs.
