We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Tax Preparer to work in our Lake Ronkonkoma, NY tax office for preparation of individual and state income tax returns for the 2023 tax season. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Meet with clients to understand their financial affairs and review their tax burden
- Prepare individual income tax returns using Ultra Tax software
- Be resourceful in finding ways to help our clients using the wide range of services our company offers
- Answer client tax related questions
- Other duties as assigned by the Tax Branch Manager
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Three to five years of professional work experience preparing taxes returns
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- CPA or Enrolled Agent a plus
- Ability to work independently
