What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests and employees and the property. This includes supporting other department services and activities to help assure the highest levels of guest and employee service.

Your Role:

• Report to the Security Supervisor and Resort Manager.
• Carry out the safety policies and procedures of the property, while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates.
• Required foot patrol throughout property, and as times using a golf cart, for property monitoring and high visibility and throughout the premises on a timely schedule.
• Promote and preserve the peace on premises to assure a comfortable and non-threatening environment for guests and employees incompliance with property policies and local laws/ordinances.
• Aid, or seek aid for, individuals who are in danger of physical harm, or in need of medical attention.
• Respond to emergencies as prescribed in Emergencies Response Plan of the property.
• Assure the security of guest and employee information both in written reports and in general business operations.
• Complete all Daily Activity and Incident Reports.
• Help assure compliance with Liquor Laws.
• Communicate all pertinent information to manager on duty, and proper chain of command leaders.

Your Environment: Varied indoor and outdoor environment and vehicle type settings with all weather conditions. Indoor lobby, hallways, various outlets and venues and/or office setting throughout shift. Constant walking on hard surface flooring, carpeting, grass, pavement, pool decks.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly engaging, safety and customer focused individual to join our team as Security Officer. The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detailed, and is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team. The right person will show initiative, excellent customer service skills, excellent listening skills and should thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers.

In addition, the right candidate match should have or be able to:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
• Someone with prior hospitality, security and/or military experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in the English language both written and verbal and utilize a 2-way radio.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing, and acceptable driving record per company standards.
• Must be able to be on feet entire shift, walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing pulling up to 50lbs.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft word programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• CPR certification and first aid training preferred
