Growing young company providing precision color compounds to plastic industry, seeks an experienced Sr. Color lab Technician who can create color matches, prepare sample color chips, and create reproducible color formulations and matches for color compounds used in plastic manufacturing applications as well as join in and help lead in expanding a successful team in the lab within a rapidly growing company.

Ability to do corrections to off-color batches is a must, as well as R&D experience; Applicant will also be required to operate molding machines and roll mills, as well as quality machinery such as melt flow and specific gravity. This position will also have responsibility for production checks, preparing quality documentation and certificates, quality control andassisting with ISO compliance.

Qualified Applicants should have:

· Excellent color vision

· Three plus years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with color matching & formulation.

· Ability to immediately do hands-on matches and QC adds, both manually and via spectroscope.

· Supervision experience is an additional plus, as well as experience in dealing successfully with customer issues.

· In depth education / training in Color. Prefer candidate that has experience using formulation software.

ISO Experience

Knowledge of resins, pigments, colorants, and additives

Strong computer skills and Microsoft products experience a plus

· Are you experienced with successfully handling customer issues in person (over the phone and face-to-face)?

Experience: color lab: 5 years (Required)
Salary commiserate with ability and experience
