Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. (LSF) is looking for a Senior Estimator as we expand the capacity of our pursuits team. We are seeking ambitious and dedicated professionals to continue to build our reputation as a trusted partner for our clients. LSF is a third generation, family- owned builder with offices in Altoona and State College. LSF has completed over 3000 projects in Pennsylvania and its surrounding states. Single project sizes range from $100,000 to over $60 million and include a blend of public and private work from all vertical markets. Not only do we manage projects – we also build them. LSF self-performs 16 trade specialties with our own employees.

Successful candidates should have at least 5 years of esitmating experience in commercial construction with broad technical understanding of building components and systems. Candidates must be able to prepare cohesive, responsive, competitive bids in a variety of vertical markets. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a bid effort with a keen eye for detail and with a strategic approach.

General Expectations Include:

• Review bidding documents for a complete understanding of submission requirements and project scope.
• Engage subcontractors to obtain suitable coverage, and analyze proposals for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for self-performance scope.
• Compile proposals and pricing to prepare a responsive bid submission.
• Descope subcontractor proposals and award Subcontracts as assigned

Ideal Candidate Qualities Include:

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• ·Able to manage multiple ongoing efforts concurrently through organization and time management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented workplace.
• Must be comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word. Preference is given to candidates who are familiar with construction takeoff or estimating software platforms.
• Preference is given to candidates with experience in change order support and project life cycle cost support.
• Ideal candidates will have experience with estimating self-performance trade work.
• Ideal candidates will also have an established knowledge of and relationships within the Central Pennsylvania construction marketplace.

Salary is based on experience.

Pay: $93,028.00 - $101,612.00 per year
