The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the day to day administrative support of the datacenter and related computer systems including: Backup's, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS Server and Exchange Administration, Maintenance, Disaster Recovery, Monitoring, Security, Patch Management, Device Compliance. The Senior Systems Administrator functions as the primary technical lead in the administration, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of critical systems and must be able to mentor and guide team members with extensive experience in the technology industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer Servers, Desktop computers, Routers, Switches, firewalls, VOIP Phones, smartphones, software deployment, and oversee the system configuration
  • Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of System Servers, Desktops, Storage Arrays, UPS and Datacenter related systems.
  • Maintain network and system security. Testing and implementing security patches of Desktop/Servers and oversee security posture to ensure security compliance

· Maintenance and troubleshooting of System Imaging, Server Operating Systems and System Applications

  • Manage the administration of Active Directory user and group accounts, privileges, group policies and standard software configurations
  • Review system logs, configuration change logs and standard operating procedures in accordance with the established directives

· Maintenance and troubleshooting of Exchange, Office365, WSUS, IIS, DHCP and DNS servers.

  • Management of System Backups and Recovery, System Process and technology improvements.

· Maintain Server Systems Inventory. Track and monitor systems performance and activity.

· Maintains documentation and standards to direct the system activities

· Monitors systems to ensure there are no productivity setbacks

· Administers best practices for systems Cloud, security and backups

· Anticipates potential issues of bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions. Determine issues with business Internet connectivity, WAN technologies, remote access and VPN configuration

· Troubleshoots and resolves all technical issues as they arise

· Communicates effectively with IT Support staff to ensure operational process runs smoothly

· Maintains Windows Servers, virtualization, Cloud, active directory, routers, switches, firewalls, SAN/NAS, IP phones, smartphones, software deployments, security updates and patches

· Ensures the integrity of file servers, VPN gateways, EDR and intrusion detection/protection systems are reliable and secure

· Demonstrates flexibility in job responsibilities

· Mentors and issues assignments to other members of the team.

  • Occasional travel.

· All other duties as assigned

  • Position will be assigned to a specific DATAMARK location but will support multiple sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education Experience:
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited technical school; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Field Experience:
  • At least 8 years of experience in the IT field
  • Position Experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a Systems Administrator or equivalent position
  • Other Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience of administration of Windows, Cloud and Linux Environment
  • Experience with and knowledge of operating systems and server solutions (Exchange, Office365, SQL, Virtual Desktop environment, IIS, AD), software deployment methods, patch management and domain management
  • Understanding and knowledge of networking and system level operations
  • 2 years of Experience in VMWare, Cisco, EDR (End Point Detection and Remediation) along with Backup/Restore subsystems
  • Knowledge of networking technologies (OSI, Network Layers, TCP/IP)
  • Familiarity with System Performance tuning and System monitoring
  • Experience/Familiarity with various Telecommunications & VOIP Systems desirable
  • Multi-channel contact center experience is preferred

o Broad knowledge of technology fundamentals across all disciplines, e.g. software delivery, datacenter environment, network architecture, IT security, IT project management. - Preferred

o Experience working in an ITIL environment. Knowledge of industry standards for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management. ITIL Foundations certification (v3 or v4) - Preferred

o Experience using IT Service Management workflow systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, Service Manager, etc. - Preferred

o Background of IT delivery in multiple industries and locations. Experience working in both matrix and pyramid organizations. - Preferred

Required Skills

· Excellent verbal & written communication skills, including presentation and interpersonal skills with peers and managers.

· Skilled on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting various servers’ applications including Active Directory, Exchange, Office365, IIS, WSUS, DHCP, and DNS.

· Skilled in Maintaining Systems, data, voice hardware and software; investigates and resolves system issues; researches, analyzes, isolates and resolves errors; escalates problems & issues to level 4 support if needed

· Skilled on monitoring and tracking of systems logs; monitors system capacity and performance of system applications.

· Demonstrates strong logical and analytical approach to solving problems from all aspects of systems, including functionality, scalability, and maintainability.

· Demonstrates a high level of initiative, organization, and attention to detail and can compile information from different sources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,500.00 per year
