Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Department: Shipping

Reports To: Director of Warehousing & Inventory

Position Summary: Ensure the proper shipment of and receipt of product by performing transactions in the ERP system, generating shipping related paperwork (BOL, etc.) and associated inventory transactions. Job is a mix of both clerical work and physical labor in a manufacturing warehouse environment.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of warehouse experience, operating standup and sit-down fork/reach trucks is a plus.
• Receiving/Inventory ERP transaction experience is a requirement
• Experience using handheld inventory scanning / tracking equipment is a plus
• Strong desire to learn on the job
• Able to read and write English well and use a computer
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline driven and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.
• Clean, presentable appearance

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Getting quotations and scheduling trucks for inbound and outbound transportation
• Receive completed parts from manufacturing and stockroom and stage / prepare for shipment
• Perform inventory transactions in ERP system to:
• Receive parts on incoming
• Ship parts on outgoing
• Generate BOL paperwork
• Transfer parts between inventory locations
• Aid in the safe loading of materials onto and off of trucks
• Aid in the packaging of products which includes using palletizing and strapping equipment, ensuring products are adequately protected from damage
• Ensure rack space is being used efficiently and regularly consolidate skids to free up rack space
• Aid in other departments as needed by supervisor
