The Shipping/Warehouse Manager delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers. He or she provides advanced packaging services and performs a final check of all finished shipping services. The Shipping/Warehouse manager keeps the warehouse clean and organized and maintains the inventory.
The ideal candidate has previous packaging experience, wood working experience and attention to detail, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Performs packaging services of large, fragile and high value items
- Orders and checks in inventory
- Takes ownership of any shipping problems and offers viable solutions
- Provides completed documentation for shipping
- Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as scanning in packages
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Packaging experience desired
- Strong proof-reading skills
- Good communication and people skills
- Outstanding phone skills
- Able to operate a wide variety of business equipment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to lift 80+ pounds
