SK Siltron CSS has many exciting opportunities at the Auburn and Bay City Sites in Michigan for the following positions. These roles require occasional off-hour support when necessary. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Michigan. Engineers with advanced degrees and/or extensive experience will qualify for more advanced roles.

Job Description – Crystal Growth Process Engineer

  • Improve productivity and yield through data analysis, yield enhancement, and variability reduction projects
  • Own and troubleshoot yield deviations, tool, or process excursions in a fast and timely manner
  • Documentation: maintain tool history, update operating procedures, and document changes
  • Provide technical leadership to the junior members of the team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors in the following: any Engineering discipline, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience (Thin Film, Crystal Growth, PVT, induction heating advantageous)

Job Description – Equipment Engineer (Crystal Growth)

  • Maintain the optimal performance of the equipment within your area of responsibility. This includes:
  • Sustaining activities: PM, BM (breakdown recovery), Tool Availability (MTBF, MTTR)
  • Continual Improvement and Cost Reduction
  • Variability reduction primarily through TTTM (Tool-to-Tool Matching)
  • Develop, install, rebuild, upgrade, and/or redesign new tools
  • Work with other organizations (including R&D, Facilities, & Operations) to improve safety, quality, throughput, and reduce environmental impact
  • Provide technical leadership using various tools including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, DOE, SPC, OCAP, FMEA, and model based problem solving.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors in the following: any Engineering discipline, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience (Thin Film, Crystal Growth, PVT, induction heating. Metrology, CMP, and Clean advantageous)

Job Description – Fab & Wafering Engineer

  • Oversee both process and equipment of the tools within your area of responsibility
  • Maintain the optimal process conditions. This includes:
  • Improve productivity and yield through data analysis, yield enhancement, and variability reduction projects

Job Description – EPI Engineer

  • Data driven process decision making based on timely and thorough data analysis
  • Process sustaining and improvement through designed experimentation
  • Yield sustaining and improvement through identification and elimination of yield limiters
  • Mentoring, coaching, and training of process technicians and operators
  • Identifying and reducing sources of variation.
  • Improving process monitoring capabilities.
  • Supporting development activities.
  • Developing and writing specifications and standard work documentation
  • Participating in and leading cross-functional and lean activity teams

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelors in the following: any Engineering discipline, Chemistry, Material Science
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience (EPI, Diffusion, MOCVD, experience is advantageous)
