Under the general direction of a Supervisor or Lead installer, this position requires the installation of new signs and servicing of existing signs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.

• Reviews construction drawings, identifies and prepares necessary materials and supplies for sign installation
• Determine layout and installation procedures
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
• Drives trucks to transport sign materials to installation sites and load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
• Assemble and install products utilizing hand and power tools, operating heavy equipment
• May require scaffolding erection and other work platforms
• Performs maintenance and repair to existing signs
• Completes paperwork for installations and service work
• Follows all safety guidelines and regulations
• Obtains completed work sign-off from customers
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned
• Interacts with customers
• Interacts with installation helpers and apprentices
• Interacts with engineers, production staff, account executives and other departments

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of relevant experience involving construction, including:
• Welding, operation of heavy equipment, crane (will receive training), forklift, power tools, electrical knowledge
• Thoroughly read detailed drawings and work orders
• Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet deadlines, as well as working independently
• Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing
• Ability to operate computer, telephone, and other office equipment

• Excellent basic math skills
• Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude and the highest level of integrity
• Excellent communication skills
• Maintain regular and timely attendance

HIGHLY VALUED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Valid Commercial Drivers License, with Airbrake Endorsement (CDL)

• Journeyman electrical license

Job Type: Full-time + Overtime opportunities

Salary: $34,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year (based on experience)

This could be an entry level position for the right applicant. We fully expect to train the right individual for a minimum of (1) year before moving them into a lead position.
