Position Summary
A Software Engineer develops and maintains software for Friction Stir Welding, Friction Extrusion, Friction Deposition, and RFSSW Machines.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains software primarily Human Machine Interface (HMI) software
- Follows established standards for architecture and programming conventions
- Contributes to development and improvement of the standard architecture and programming conventions
- Works in conjunction with Controls Engineers to assist in the start-up, de-bug, and run-off of equipment
- Provides remote technical support to customers via email, phone, and remote access software
- Utilizes Visual Basic, (".net"), C#, & XAML extensively in the maintenance of existing (and development of new) applications developed in Microsoft Visual Studio
- Supports Controls Engineers in developing and maintaining machine control software
- Occasionally addresses additional projects that may involve maintenance & improvement of company's Excel based business system and other IT/Network administration tasks
Experience, Education, Skills
- College degree (BS-minimum or commensurate experience) in Computer Science/Software Engineering.
- 1-5 years “Hands On” working experience
- Ability to develop and modify computer programs in Visual Basic, C#, and XAML
- Knowledgeable in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) programming
- The ability and willingness to learn new processes and programming languages
- Excellent communication & leadership skills
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. permanently

Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
