Position: Sr. Associate or Coordinator, Cargo Operations
Employment: Full Time, Direct Hire
Salary Range: $19-$21/hour
Company Location: Los Angeles, CA
Work Conditions: Non-exempt
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee cargo handling conducted by all contractors in an efficient manner and ensuring instructions, policies, and requirements are followed
- Act as a lead in charge for the Ground Handling Companies
- Ensure all regulations concerning operations are enforced and updated
- Support all other cargo operation departments as needed
- Directly aid customers in the case of operational irregularities and/or information requests
- Perform any other duties as requested by management
- Prepare reports as necessary
- Act on behalf of Supervisor when required
- Perform any other duties as directed by management
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICTIONS/EDUCATION
- Associates degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cargo Operations experience is required. OR any equivalent amount of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills
- Willing to work any hours/shifts/holidays (including night shift), and outside in inclement weather.
- Must have a driver’s license
