Our client has a direct-hire opportunity for a Sr.Packaging Engineer. The successful candidate will develop sustainable packaging solutions and maintain quality of existing packages for all product groups across organization. They will define package requirements for product groups and customer requirements. Determines packaging requirements according to the nature of the product, cost limitations, legal requirements and the type of protection required, taking into consideration the need for resistance to external variables. Responsible for coordination of clinical and commercial project activities and logistics at secondary contract packaging and labeling sites. Using appropriate tools, performs integrity analysis of packages.
- Develop manufacturing strategies and investment models that secure timely production, support supply chain compliance, manage overall costs, and proactively plans for the future.
- Safety – solid product and process knowledge of equipment and their operation in the industrial settings to ensure product stewardship and intrinsically safe work environments.
- Provide solid and effective leadership, support and direction to the manufacturing organization dedicated to quality customer service, innovation, and flexibility. Ensure manufacturing sustainability with proactive contingency planning.
- Continuous Improvement – drives significant performance improvement in quality, safety, productivity, cost-out, working capital reduction, and process improvement throughout the manufacturing environments that service quality products for organization.
- Quality assurance – responsible for releasing all finished goods product for sale by assuring raw materials, packaging, in-process, and finished goods meet quality standards.
- Establish trust, transparency, and customer experience within the role and team. Must be able to provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and coordination, if needed to hold employee safety in highest regard.
- Obtain ERP/SAP system knowledge and demonstrate utilization of these tools to aid in participation to drive results and system accuracy
- Operational Excellence – coordinate with Asset Management Teams to prioritize and deliver effective asset care strategies, be responsible for all conversional KPI’s such as production efficiencies, yield, rework, and slow-moving inventory management. Provide strategic direction related to formulation selection based on production complexity, capacity, costing, and packaging.
- Financial acumen with the ability to maintain, understand, and communicate operational and financial metrics, while using these metrics to drive performance
· A degree in Chemical Engineering is required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience with EHS and OSHA Process Safety Management, DOT, EPA, Air Quality Waste Disposal
· Knowledge of FIFRA regulations and assurance compliance.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
