Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Manufacturing Technology Team leader. The Manufacturing Technology Team leader will lead the global manufacturing subject matter experts in continuous improvement activities, process problem solving, assist with project launches, write and maintain global process documentation, and develop new process methods.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Surface Mount Technology process development projects
- Lead SMT Global MTT meeting
- Assist project launch teams with SMT applications and problem solving
- Assist manufacturing sites with SMT applications and problem solving
- Assist with SMT capacity planning
- Assist with design rules for new component packages
What we’re looking for
- Technical Bachelor of Science required; however Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years, of electronic assembly experience, familiar with Surface Mount Technology (SMT); however, preference will be given to those with 8+ years of experience
- Formal Problem Solving Training
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Able to document processes and train other engineers
- Able to develop and document new technologies or processes
- Able to learn and operate production intent equipment
- Travel is required, 10% annually is typical
- Able to manage multiple projects at once
