Asian Pacific Counseling & Treatment Centers (a Division of Special Service for Groups, Inc.) is a contract-agency of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health. With six locations throughout Los Angeles County and a satellite office in Riverside county, APCTC staffs provide mental health services to clients of all ages with mental illness and behavioral health challenges. While our centers specialize in serving the monolingual Asian Pacific community, we provide services to the entire community and offer services in English and Spanish as well.

Job Description: We are seeking candidates with a passion to help under-served communities in Los Angeles County, who are comfortable with field work and working with diverse age, racial, gender and ethnic groups. Candidates must be able to work well with a team of multi-disciplinary staffs, work independently in the field, have excellent time management, oral and written communication skills, be persistent, take initiative to learn and contribute to the team.

SSG-APCTC is seeking Therapists who are fluent in an Asian language (priority in Korean language) or Spanish language. We are seeking candidates who have experience working with children, families and adults with moderate to persistent mental illness. The position requires the ability to conduct field work independently, provide mental health services in the office, clients homes, recreational facilities, office, school or other sites. The candidate will provide individual, family or group therapy, crisis assessments and intervention for his or her clients. The candidate will collaborate with DPSS, CalWORKs staffs, hospitals, school personnel, DCFS, family members, significant others, law enforcement and will facilitate access to needed resources for his/her client in the community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are delivering telehealth services through zoom, in-person or over the phone.

The candidate must have a valid registration or license as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with the State of California BBS. A reliable transportation and proof of California Driver License is required.
