Summary:
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Treasury Management (TM) Regional Sales Manager, the TM Sales Advisor 1 is responsible for marketing and selling primarily the high volume, low sophistication TM products and services to existing and new micro and small business customers. The incumbent acts as a relationship manager on TM matters for customers and monitors market conditions and trends to keep their respective markets competitive. The TM Sales Advisor 1 focuses on sales opportunities that can be obtained primarily via a virtual environment (phone conversation, or web-based video conferencing tool), are of minimal complexity and, have a short sales cycle. The incumbent incorporates a keen awareness of risk and a customer focused perspective. The incumbent is expected to travel, when environmentally appropriate, in their assigned region up to 5% of the time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Execute TM sales strategies in assigned portfolio of bank customers and prospects in efforts to grow TM revenue and achieve sales goals. Follow the Customer Focused Banking (CFB) discipline and approach to sales (which includes pipeline development, pre-call plans, process flows, and working capital), with the established exception pricing policy.
2. Generate new business through identifying market opportunities through cold calls, warm leads and referrals. Drive new sales opportunities by determining customer needs and cross-selling treasury products and services to internal and external customers.
3. Sell primarily via a virtual environment (phone conversation, or web-based video conferencing tool). Perform the end to end sales process independently, from cultivating and maintaining relationships to closing the deal to passing the customer to Risk Management and Operations for onboarding. Assistance and guidance is available from the TM Regional Sales Manager.
4. Engage in training activities with branches and Business Bankers in the assigned region to ensure they understand the TM product set and what a good referral looks like.
5. Focus on selling a high volume of 10-15 TM products that best align to the needs of the micro and small business customer base. These products tend to be more selfserve and have lower sophistication than TM products for larger, more complex customers.
6. Provide advice to customers on how to optimize their financial operations.
7. Perform timely follow-up on newly implemented treasury services to ensure we meet the client's needs. Performs administrative tasks and duties on a timely basis.
8. Work with their TM Regional Sales Manager to provide customer feedback into product management for the assigned customer segment and region.
9. Partner with the branch leadership structure on deposit gathering activities and focus on making new businesses more bankable over time.
10. Develop industry knowledge, including knowledge of competitor offerings.
11. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business related field or equivalent relevant experience required.
- 1 year of sales experience required.
- Proven interest or knowledge of the TM discipline required.
- General understanding of building full banking relationships required.
- Ability to complete CFB 4 Foundations within 6 months of hire required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint required.
- Professional level written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Strong customer skills including desire to meet customer needs through sales preferred.
- Proven track record of sales success preferred.
- Certified Treasury Professional designation preferred.
- Arvest experience preferred.
