Job Title: Vice President of Sales

Summary:
The Vice President of Sales is part of the executive team and a critical contributor to attaining our 5-year corporate growth plan. The VP will work with the executive leadership team to implement the strategic plan specific to growing the company’s revenue. As such, this person will be responsible for developing and/or assisting with the sales strategy for winning new business as well as retaining and upselling within existing business within our established customer base. They are responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales goals. It is essential that this person have an entrepreneurial mindset and want to be part of a growth story.
Our Client is a growing Technology (IT) supply chain partner to the Life Sciences Industry.
Vice President of Sales Job Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- History of producing double-digit year-over-year revenue growth in the IT Services industry
- Proven track-record and abilities in all aspects of sales, Customer services and Program Management leadership
- Successful experience selling strategic IT Outsourcing solutions to the fortune 1000 and mid-market
- Systematic approach to hold accountable direct reports against stated expectations
- Successful experience managing and leading teams of 5+ direct reports
- Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
- Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and customer service data
- Successful experience hiring and onboarding personnel
- Proven experience working within a small or medium size company environment
- Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to executive team
- 6+ years’ prior experience in technology fields, with a substantial portion in sales, business development, or partnership roles
- 3+ years in executive alliance or partnership roles
- 6+ years in Sales or Customer Service
Vice President of Sales Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sale at existing customers
- Continually define and evolve the optimal sales force coverage structure
- The functional responsibilities for the VP of Sales include customer service, account management and program management
- Define and oversee sales personnel compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales and KPI targets
- Utilize a consultative approach to understanding prospective customer’s and existing Customer’s challenges and pain points
- Create a culture of sales success and ongoing business and sales goal achievement
- Hire and develop personnel while possessing a charge-the-hill approach to model the way
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Define and coordinate personnel training & methodology to enable personnel to achieve their potential
- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
- Provide detailed and accurate monthly & quarterly sales forecasting
- Monitor market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team to drive sales strategy and deliver desired results
- Travel for in-person meetings with existing & prospective customers, and partners and to develop key relationships (maximum 25% travel requirement)
- Additional duties and/or projects as required
