WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT – Syosset, NY

Position Summary

Performs semi-skilled work involving receiving and distributing material, counting stock and general warehouse duties.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Warehouse Supervisor in all Warehouse and Facility duties.
• Physically receive and issue materials, accept deliveries, stock equipment, and ship material using UPS and in-house trucking.
• Operate electric and manual high-low palate lift, load and unload deliveries from trucks and shelving.
• Enter transactions of inventory and orders using company computer-based stock-handling program.
• Return damaged or defective items to vendors.
• Receive and count stock items.
• Operate fleet vehicles, make deliveries and pickups, when necessary,
• Perform basic facility repairs.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ of Warehouse inventory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
• Physical Demands: Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., Climb Ladders, Operate High Low Palate lifts both electric and manually.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, and ability to operate Inventory Accounting Software.
• Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s license.
• Able to use hand tools, drills, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
