Dog Daycare Attendant Job at Southpaw Pet Resort
FULL-TIME YARD / PLAYGROUP ATTENDANT *MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS - this is non-negotiable* Paid training is $15/hour. After training, tips are included with pay, and hourly rate has room for growth based on experience and performance over time. No phone calls or drop-ins please. REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma (or equivalent) and age 18+ required to apply. - Must live within 15-20 minutes of Hilton Head Island and have reliable transportation. - Must be able to work primarily outdoors in a strenuous environment and be able to lift at least 50 pounds We are looking for someone friendly and approachable, with excellent etiquette, grammar, and communication skills. You'll play an important role in not only caring for dogs, but also in communicating clearly with staff and clients regarding their pet's health, demeanor, and behavior while staying with us. To be hired for this position, it is imperative that you have a basic knowledge of dog breeds and behaviors, as you will be coordinating and overseeing playgroups with multiple dogs of differing sizes and personalities. You will also be required to assist with routine tasks such as feeding, medicating, and bathing dogs; as well as cleaning rooms and handling dogs both indoors and outdoors. If you are organized and able to multitask and think on your feet, and you enjoy working primarily outdoors in all types of weather, we'd like to meet you. Prior professional experience in pet care is a plus.
