Human Resource Generalist and Administration
Ancora is seeking an HR generalist and administrative professional to join our team.
This position's primary responsibility is supporting the Human Resources function, with the focus of owning the employee life-cycle from onboarding, benefit enrollments or updates and payroll to terminations.
Additionally, the position will provide receptionist and administrative support to the organization.
Location
This position is located at Ancora’s Cleveland (Mayfield Heights), Ohio, office. No remote option.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administer the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
> Become proficient with ADP processes, reporting and administration
> Input and ensure all personnel data is accurate and updated
> Maintain system’s People Management (Demographics, Employment, Pay, Benefits, Dependents, PTO, etc.)
> Annually, update system with benefit elections and contributions
Employee Life-Cycle Maintenance:
> Manage new employee onboarding, including new-hire paperwork, benefits and ADP setup
> Ensure firm’s compliance with requirements such as the collection of I-9 forms
> Manage required communications for active and terminated employees
> Complete termination processes, following the exiting-employee checklist
Benefits Administration
> Become proficient in benefits portals (MMO Employer Link, Allegus WealthCare, Newport Group, Colonial, COBRA, etc.) and ensure all systems are updated accurately
> Track employee eligibility dates, process employee enrollments, process qualifying events/changes, and termination of various benefits
Payroll Processing
> Process bi-monthly payroll and ensure accurate reporting in pay register.
> Submit bi-monthly payroll reports to 401k provider.
> Submit tax and unemployment notices to ADP
Administrative and Reception
> Greet visitors in lobby, provide direction and alert their representative of arrival
> Answer incoming calls and transfer as appropriate
> Sort and deliver inbound mail and packages
> Coordinate outbound mail and packages (by courier, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
> Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications
> College degree preferred
> 0-5 years work experience in Human Resources and office administration preferred
> Experience with ADP or other HRIS, preferred
> Experience with payroll and benefits administration preferred
> Professional office experience (phone system, copy/fax machine, postage machine, etc.)
> Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills
> High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality while following organizational policies and procedures
> Team-oriented with effective interpersonal communication skills and a desire to learn and help others
> Highly organized and accountable with attention to detail and accuracy
> Ability to multi-task with a strong work ethic
> Professional appearance and demeanor
