Browning, an industry leader in hunting and shooting consumer products, is looking for an experienced photographer to operate in a commercial studio environment in Mountain Green, Utah.

This individual must have a proven track record with a creative eye towards capturing product imagery through their passion for lighting, styling, and composition.

The ideal candidate will be a like-minded, creative whiz who enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously and can adapt easily to last-minute changes in direction and project execution. This individual must be equally engaged with both creative and production assignments across myriad marketing mediums including: E-commerce, print and digital advertising campaigns, social media, and web content.

Ability to professionally photograph products that vary in size, shape, color and features.

Proficiency in strobe and ambient lighting, composition, image manipulation, file output and management. Photo retouching including color correction, compositing, masking, resizing and optimization. Soft boxes, umbrellas, strobes.

Enjoys setting up product shots, including selecting props, merchandising and styling. Configuring camera angles, product rotation, stuffing, propping, organizing and repackaging products.

Must be able to photograph product on models, on mannequins, lay flats, and hanging apparel.

Advanced photo editing skills including post-production techniques and abilities, such as creating clipping paths and retouching in Adobe Photoshop. Image preparation (resizing, cleaning surfaces, removing imperfections, color correction, image selection, deleting duplicates, file naming, etc.)

Manage third-party photo editing services.

Enjoys the process of keeping files organized, metadata tagging, and creating keywords to quickly locate photos within a digital asset management filing system. Able to import, organize, catalog, and provide final images into a shared environment.

Able to work quickly and efficiently and able to take direction well. Is creative, communicative, patient, motivated, efficient, organized, collaborative, friendly, and able to maintain good relationships with clients.

Responsible for maintenance of photographic equipment including cameras, studio lighting equipment, backdrops, and lighting calibration equipment.

In-depth working knowledge of Canon DSLR camera systems manual usage, mirrorless, strobe lighting and tethered shooting.

Mac user with Adobe Creative Suite; specifically, Lightroom, Bridge, and Photoshop. AEM and DAM experience are a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Photography or related field or Associates degree along with a combination of relevant experience required.
