Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

• Perform high quality x-ray examinations, in accordance with provider’s orders, while exercising the principles of ALARA.
• Conduct pregnancy screening as necessary referring patients back to providers for a pregnancy test when necessary
• Provide daily examination counts for all x-rays and DEXA scans listing by provider both inside and outside
• Perform bone density examinations in accordance with provider’s orders
• Provide the highest quality care and customer service possible while still performing examinations in an expedient manner
• Discuss, as needed with providers, or their medical assistants, to correct orders as necessary to ensure that proper examinations are being conducted based on the best interests and symptoms of the patient
• Answer any patient questions related to the exam within the scope of practice, without providing a diagnosis

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attitude:

• Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and regulatory requirements
• Moderate to Advanced understanding of human anatomy and functions
• Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare staff
• Strong independent judgement
• Strong ability to educate patients on procedures
• Basic computer literacy
• Experience with GE, Konica, Quantum, Sedecal, CR and DR equipment preferred

Required Training and Certifications:

• Graduate of an ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT Current Registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
• TMB Current MRT License
• 2+ Years in a clinical care setting
• New graduate resumes accepted
