Summary: Treehouse Grove, managed by Ayres Vacation Rentals and located at Norton Creek, is looking to contract a Landscape Crew Member and Equipment Operator for their treehouse cabins, Norton Creek Resort, and other cabins. Norton Creek is a growing development located on the spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

We are searching for an experienced and reliable landscaper. This person is hard-working and represents our core values while maintaining the appearance of each property across the development. This person will work hand-in-hand with Ayres Vacation Rentals (AVR) management in an effort to ensure the best possible experience for each guest. See below for a list of job responsibilities and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain AVR properties by using the landscaping and light maintenance procedures prescribed by company standards

• Receive and complete work orders/assignments

• Execute landscaping tasks and pick up trash to maintain appearance of the property

• Mow and blow leaves and debris off the grounds for all AVR properties including applicable areas around office, cabins, and treehouses

• Pre-emerge, fertilize, aerify, and seed all manicured turf, lawn, and beds

• Respond in a timely fashion to all landscaping requests

• Take partners and follow up on requests that cannot be handled individually

• Communicate with Landscape Supervisor and Operations Manager when a third party needs to complete a work order

• Maintain supply inventory, tracking, and reporting when additional supplies are needed

• Maintain firewood stacks, ensuring each guest has enough for the duration of their stay, replenishing when necessary

• Patrol hiking trails and check all roads for fallen trees and limbs, removing as necessary

• Operate tractors, mowers, ATVs, and other heavy machinery

• Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for the basic maintenance of tools and equipment

• Adhere to Ayres Vacation Rental's regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• 1-2 years' experience in landscaping

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in landscaping
• Strong organization skills
• Available and willing to workdays, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to follow clear direction and communicate effectively
• Must be able to work successfully on a team

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment for up to 8 hours at a time.
